Bedfordshire Pension Fund selects CACEIS

Bedfordshire Pension Fund has selected sustainable governance partner CACEIS UK (CACEIS) for custody, fund accounting and performance measurement services. The fund will gain access to CACEIS’ custody solution, along with the company’s Centre of Excellence for Pensions.

This solution uses SimCorp Dimension, and consolidates all of Bedfordshire Pension Fund’s data into a single system. In doing so, CACEIS says, data will be of a higher quality and can be more efficiently collected, aggregated and reported.

The pension fund will be able to use multiple reporting systems, in order to meet requirements, and will be able to scale services to cover new asset classes and managers, according to CACEIS.

Pat Sharman, country managing director for the UK at CAESIS, comments: “We have built a powerful and centralised pensions hub, our Centre of Excellence for Pensions, which is underpinned by market-leading technology in SimCorp Dimension. This elevates our administration and reporting offering to UK pension schemes with one fully integrated IBOR and ABOR for all traditional and alternative asset classes.”

Doug McMurdo, chair of the Bedfordshire Pension Fund, adds: “The opportunity this provides the Fund to design a bespoke custody service is exciting. The integration of ESG analysis into our existing performance and reporting is of paramount importance, in order that we move forward in our responsible investment agenda on behalf of all our stakeholders, but importantly our scheme members and employers.”
